E-commerce Site, Elevated
The client's store had stalled with a previous developer who could not deliver the premium, clean look she wanted. I took over the build, elevated it feature by feature to match her vision, and carried it through to a 98/100 Lighthouse launch.
What I was solving
Optimus Labs already had a store in progress, but the developer before me could not push it to the premium, clean standard the owner had in mind. Momentum had stalled, the design did not yet reflect her vision, and the site still had to reach launch on a high bar for speed, SEO and privacy compliance.
How I approached it
I took the project over and made it hers. First I learned the existing system inside out, until the owner was confident I understood it as well as she did, then I elevated it round by round against her mockups and feedback: the checkout, the design detail, the whole feel, until it read as premium and clean. Along the way I kept the store live through a payment-provider change, migrating checkout to a new provider with no downtime and isolating each provider's code so future switches would be painless. For performance, Redis object caching and LiteSpeed tuning reached a 98/96/100/100 Lighthouse score, and I set up the full pre-launch stack myself: SEO with a keyword map and metadata across every page, GA4 and Search Console, a GDPR consent flow, and security hardening with two-factor auth. She signed off on the full stylistic alignment, and the store went live.
