A Photographer's Portfolio, Kept Alive
A Swiss photography duo's trilingual portfolio that a first developer could not get off the ground. I took the build over in its early stages, carried it to launch, and have kept it current ever since: maintenance, new photo series, and gallery refreshes in three languages.
What I was solving
The photographers behind K&E publish under pseudonyms and let the images speak for them, so the site had to be worthy of that standard. Instead, their first developer left the build stalled in its early stages. They needed someone to take over the half-started WordPress project, deliver a finished trilingual portfolio, and stay on as new series were shot.
How I approached it
I took the project over early, learned what was already there, and carried it through to launch: a WordPress build on a tailored child theme with WPBakery layouts, and a full trilingual setup with WPML so every page, series and menu exists at parity in French, English and Italian. Since launch in 2019 I have stayed on as the site's single point of contact, publishing their narrative photo series, refreshing galleries as new work arrives, and evolving the site itself, including reworking the portfolio into an interactive 3D flipbook brochure and a site-wide refresh with a new homepage gallery in May 2026.
